In 2006, Mr. Magers founded Interim Healthcare Solutions Group DBA Magers Healthcare Professionals which focuses on interim management and consulting .with a client base that includes Franciscan Healthcare Services, Community Health Systems, Ascension Health, MedCath (i.e. Tucson Heart Hospital) and numerous community hospitals. Mr. Magers has served as a hospital CEO, CFO, practice administrator, System CFO as well as provided merger/ acquisitions and profitability consulting services. Other consulting projects include revenue cycle and product line Thus far, Mr. Magers recent career contributions include: Initiated revenue cycle improvements yielding annual net revenue per admission increases over 12% and an incremental annual cash reserve increase of $24 Million Improved a cardiology hospitals bottom line by 12% through revenue cycle enhancements, expense reductions and inventory control procedures Increased a hospitals bottom line by $1.5 million through physician redirection, labor control and cost containment Restructured and turned around a 250 bed teaching hospital resulting in a $14 million bottom line improvement between fiscal years Created, developed and started-up a $30 million medical mall Managed major downsizing/reorganizations with annual cost reductions of $7 million. Implemented an integrated care case management program capturing $3.2 million in first year savings. Improved cash flow by reducing days in accounts receivable by 30% Succeeded in the successful information system conversion of a newly acquired 910 bed teaching hospital Experienced in mergers and acquisition analysis of hospitals, clinics, home health agencies and surgery centers. He is a both a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and possesses extensive graduate work in a Masters in Healthcare Administration. Mr. Magers is a double board certified in Accounting and Finance by the Healthcare Financial Management Association and in Healthcare Administration by the American College of Healthcare Executives.
