Health officials learned of two additional probable cases in the state, according to Indiana State Health Commissioner Dr. Gregory Larkin, who added that health departments around the country have been alerted to be aware of the possible spread of the disease.
Dr. Gregory Larkin, Indiana health commissioner, said his office has alerted health officials in those states to the measles discovery, and he urged anyone present in the village then to check their immunization records.
Indiana Health Commissioner Dr. Gregory Larkin said chances are "extremely low" that anyone in the crowd would have been infected by the airborne virus, but said state health officials had to err on the side of caution.
