Abstract:

A method and system for a search engine for user generated content have been disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method comprises receiving a search request from a client, the search request directed to user generated content. Relevant user generated content is retrieved, wherein retrieving comprises searching processed user generated content, and wherein processing user generated content comprises receiving first input data including text, creating a substring of text from the first input data and categorizing the substring to produce a concept associated with the substring, wherein the substring is categorized according to one of dictionaries or pattern analysis. An indication of sentiment is assigned to the concept associated with the substring and an indication of influence is assigned to the concept associated with the substring. The relevant user generated content is displayed.

Abstract:

Computer-implemented systems and methods are disclosed for automatically generating and displaying a chronology of events, where events may be represented by data objects in one or more databases. Events/data objects may be identified as relevant to an investigation or analysis based on specified criteria. A timeline may be generated based on the identified set of relevant events, and interactive user interfaces may be generated and displayed that present the events as a timeline and a list. Events may be selected from the timeline or the list, may be identified as key events in the chronology, and additional events related to a selected event may be determined and added to the chronology. Timelines may be compared to other data sets, including other timelines, other event lists, and other relevant data.

Certain systems and methods organize one or more communications in a tile layout so that reviewers can properly and timely label communications. A reviewer can hover over any of the communications to view more details regarding the communication and/or label the communication. For example, while the cursor is placed over the displayed communication, the reviewer can provide a command, such as a key command. Once the command is provided, the displayed communication is labeled with a label associated with the command.

Abstract:
