Abstract:

A system ( ) for signal processing using one or more filters includes a controller ( ) that partitions an impulse response of a filter into a plurality of impulse response blocks and calculates a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) of each impulse response block using a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm. A processor ( ) that is coupled to the controller ( ) receives an input sample block including samples of a signal to be processed and receives the DFT of each impulse response block from the controller ( ). The processor ( ) calculates a DFT of the input sample block using an FFT algorithm, performs a spectral multiplication of the DFT of the input sample block with the DFT of each impulse response block, overlap-adds the blocks resulting from each spectral multiplication to create an output spectral block, performs an inverse FFT on the output spectral block to create an output sample block, and communicates the output sample block.

Abstract:

A timing gauge is provided for use in adjusting the stroke of a fuel injector plunger of an internal combustion engine. The gauge has a probe of calibrated length fixed to a magnet effective to clamp the gauge firmly to the outer end of the injector plunger while the plunger is being adjusted. When the plunger is adjusted until the probe contacts a reference surface, an electrical circuit containing an indicating device is activated to inform the mechanic that the plunger is in precise adjustment. The gauge may be self-contained and include the indicator and its power supply.

Abstract:

An electrochromic (EC) device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a transparent first conductor disposed between the first and second substrates, a transparent second conductor disposed between the first and second substrates, a working electrode disposed between the first and second conductors, a counter electrode disposed between the working electrode and the second conductor, and an electrolyte disposed between the working and counter electrodes. At least one of the first or second conductors is a multipart conductor which includes a transparent first conductive film, a first contact strip extending lengthwise in a first direction which is perpendicular to a second direction, along a first side of the EC device, and first conductive lines extending from the first contact strip toward an opposing second side of the EC device. The multipart conductor has a lower effective sheet resistance in the second direction than in the first direction.
