An apparatus including a processing system configured to determine an energy consumption on the mobile device during sleep and active modes of the mobile device; determine an energy consumption on the sensor during sleep and active modes of the sensor; determine energy levels of the mobile device and the sensor, and; set sleep durations of the mobile device based on the sleep duration of the sensor while meeting an end-to-end delay constraint for a service related to the sensor. A method is also disclosed.

Abstract:

Systems and methods of managing concurrent access using different network identities using a shared baseband hardware implementation are described. A wireless apparatus comprises a computing device, a baseband device, the baseband device including at least a modem processor, and computer readable storage medium that stores one or more instructions. The instructions, when executed by the computing device, are configured to associate a first identity of the wireless apparatus with a first wireless network, associate a second identity of the wireless apparatus with a second wireless network, enable the first identity to communicate over the first wireless network using the baseband device, and enable the second identity to communicate over the second wireless network using the baseband device. Data obtained by concurrently utilizing the baseband device utilizing different network identities and different networks can be aggregated on the wireless apparatus.

Abstract:

A casino management system is described herein. The system includes an API server computer coupled to a plurality of business service systems and a plurality of gaming machines. The API server computer receives an HTTP request from a gaming machine including a URL including a resource request including a business service identifier and a resource object. The API server computer identifies a business service system associated with the business service identifier and transmits an API call to the identified business service system. The API server computer receives resource object data from the identified business service system in response to the transmitted API call and generates and transmits a return response including the received resource object data to the gaming machine that causes the gaming machine to generate HTML code to a webpage including the resource object data.

Abstract:

A pH sensor for a single-use bioreactor is provided. The sensor includes a pH sensing electrode, a reference system, a storage compartment, and an access mechanism. The reference system includes a reference electrolyte, a reference electrode disposed in the reference electrolyte, and a reference junction. The storage compartment contains a storage solution that is configured to contact the pH sensing electrode within the storage compartment. The access mechanism is configured to, when actuated, couple the pH sensing electrode to an interior of the single-use bio-reactor. The storage solution includes a buffer solution that is compatible with the reference electrolyte.
