Abstract:
Provided are a method, system, and program for replicating a file. A file is copied to a target storage file system stored as a base file. A reference file comprising the copied file is generated at a local storage. An update is applied to the file at the local storage. A delta file is generated indicating differences between the updated file at the local storage and the reference file. A file system command is used to transmit the delta file to the target storage file system store to store in a directory of the target storage file system, wherein the file in the local storage is replicated at the target storage by a combination of the base file and the delta file.

Abstract:
Provided are techniques for transferring data. It is determined whether an indicators map is to be associated with a source file that is being opened, wherein the indicators map indicates which source blocks of the source file have been updated since last being transferred to a target file. In response to determining that an indicators map is to be associated with the source file, it is determined whether the indicators map exists. In response to determining that the indicators map exists, it is determined whether the indicators map is to be trusted based on a last modified time and a last source file size stored in the indicators map and the source file. In response to determining that the indicators map is to be trusted, the indicators map is initialized. Then, in response to receiving a write for the source file, the indicators map is updated to indicate which portion of the source file has been modified.

Abstract:
Methods and systems that permit a user to associate metadata representing one or more workflow-related actions with an image file are provided. Workflow-related actions describe one or more actions which may be undertaken with respect to the associated image file. For instance, workflow-related actions may include, by way of example only, printing, editing, reviewing, sharing, deleting, and the like. Once associated with metadata representing one or more workflow-related actions, the image file may be retrieved based upon a query for at least one of the workflow-related actions. If more than one workflow-related action is represented in the metadata associated with the image file, the image file may be retrieved based upon a query for each workflow-related action individually or multiple workflow-related actions concurrently.

Bipolar Active Fixation Lead For Sensing And Pacing The Heart
An implantable bipolar pacing lead having a bipolar active fixation electrode for use with a cardiac pacemaker. The bipolar active fixation electrode may include a pair of coaxial electrodes, separated by an intermediate insulator, formed into the shape of a helix. The bipolar electrode helix is preferably advanceable from a distal end of the bipolar pacing lead.
Method Of Manufacturing A Multiple Microelectrode Assembly
A method of manufacturing a multiple microelectrode assembly is disclosed. Micromachining technology (such as micro-electrical-discharge machining technology, laser-beam micromachining, electron-beam micromachining) is used to manufacture an electrode/base assembly. The electrode/base assembly is placed within a container; a liquid material is placed into the container; the liquid material surrounds the electrodes of the electrode/base assembly and is allowed to solidify; and the solidified liquid material in combination with the electrode/base assembly is separated from the container. The bottom (or base) portion of the electrode/base assembly is then removed. The electrodes of the electrode/base assembly comprise a plurality of rod-like members of very small (on the order of 1 micron) metallic members of preselected dimension, shape and spacing, by which they are adapted in combination with the surrounding insulating material as a multiple microelectrode assembly.
A method of manufacturing a precision micro-filter and a micro-filter manufactured thereby is disclosed. A micro-mold is manufactured using micro-machining technology (such as micro-electrical-discharge machining technology, laser-beam micro-machining, electron beam micro-machining) to make a filter mold with a plurality of rod-like protrusions, of the shape, dimensions, and spacing required for the pores of a finished micro-filter. A molding material is placed into the micro-mold, the molding composition is allowed to solidify to form a micro-filter, the passageways of which conform precisely to the rod-like protrusions of the mold. This micro-filter is then separated from the micro-mold.

Abstract:
A method for polishing a substrate having at least one micro-sized structure. The method includes identifying a first region of the substrate on which a micro-sized structure is to be located. The first region is the region in which polishing is desired. A second region of the substrate, in which polishing is not desired, is also identified. An adhesion promoter is optionally applied to the substrate. The second region of the substrate is coated with a selected coating material that does not degrade substantially when exposed to a selected electrolyte. Material is removed from the first region, exposing a micro-sized structure. The coating material may be removed by the same machining process that forms the micro-sized structure. The substrate is submerged in the selected electrolyte so that the first region is exposed to the electrolyte. The first region of the substrate is electropolished.
