Abstract:

An optical wavelength multiplexer and/or demultiplexer is provided having mechanical strain relief. The mechanical strain relief is provided by mounting ears carried by a molded coupling module supporting the fiber optic cable receptacle. The mounting ears are engaged by a pair of mounting plates carried by a housing for the device. Loads applied to the fiber optic cable receptacle are transferred to the housing frame and do not adversely affect the optical pathway of the assembled device.

Abstract:

An apparatus and method for retaining a length of fiber optic cable to a circuit board includes a body portion. The body portion of the apparatus includes at least a pair of spaced legs extending from the body portion, each of the legs is adapted to be received in a mounting opening formed in the PC board. Each of the spaced legs includes a foot portion adapted for securing the body to the circuit board and at least a pair of spaced arms extend from the body portion defining a slot between the arm and the body portion for receiving and retaining a portion of the length of fiber optic cable. The arms are spaced a distance from each other for retaining the fiber optic cable in an arc having a radius greater than a minimum bend radius of the fiber optic cable.

Provided are a method, system, and program for replicating a file. A file is copied to a target storage file system stored as a base file. A reference file comprising the copied file is generated at a local storage. An update is applied to the file at the local storage. A delta file is generated indicating differences between the updated file at the local storage and the reference file. Abstract:

Provided are techniques for transferring data. It is determined whether an indicators map is to be associated with a source file that is being opened, wherein the indicators map indicates which source blocks of the source file have been updated since last being transferred to a target file. In response to determining that an indicators map is to be associated with the source file, it is determined whether the indicators map exists. In response to determining that the indicators map exists, it is determined whether the indicators map is to be trusted based on a last modified time and a last source file size stored in the indicators map and the source file. In response to determining that the indicators map is to be trusted, the indicators map is initialized. Then, in response to receiving a write for the source file, the indicators map is updated to indicate which portion of the source file has been modified.

Abstract:

A method of EMI shielding the seam(s) of a multiple-part enclosure is provided herein. The enclosure can be produced and assembled quickly and inexpensively. An embodiment of the invention is formed of two conductive sheet metal parts that make up the outer enclosure of an optoelectronic transceiver. The parts come together in a way that allows for an interference fit, and requires a press fit operation for complete engagement. A series of recesses along the edge of one part and a series of oversized (in relation to the recesses) teeth in the other part provide the interference fit. The oversized teeth are pressed into the recesses, providing metal-to-metal contact at regular intervals along the interface. Contact at regular intervals provides a robust EMI shield against electromagnetic waves incident to the enclosure's interior or exterior.
