Abstract:

A system for switching communications signals between a first communications network and a second communications network is provided. The system includes a J1 interface coupled to the first communications network by a J1 span, a E1 interface coupled to the second communications network by an E1 span, and an interface processor in communication with the J1 interface and the E1 interface. The interface processor is then operable to translate signals formatted for the J1 span into an E1 format for transmission on the El span. The interface processor is further operable to translate communications signals formatted for the E1 span into a J1 format for transmission on the J1 span.

Abstract:

In one embodiment, a method for telecommunications includes steps of receiving a first packet through a first port, and determining whether the first packet arrived over a protected path. If the first packet arrived over a protected path, the method also includes the steps of hashing a source address of the first packet, adding a first entry into a forwarding table, and adding a second entry into the forwarding table. The protected path is coupled to at least the first port and a second port. The first entry includes the result of hashing the packet, and an identification of the first port. The second entry includes the result of hashing the packet, and an identification of the second port.

Abstract:

A coupler-resonator for electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy in subjects has a wire loop formed into a coupling loop, a central transmission portion, and sensor loops. The sensor loops hold EPR sensor materials and are coated with biocompatible plastic. The coupler-resonator is implanted in a subject, the subject in a nonuniform magnetic field with a pickup coil for RF response measurement apparatus near the subject's skin and inductively coupled to the coupling loop. Resonances are measured at multiple sensor loops distinguished by sweeping magnetic field or radio frequency. A biopsy sampler has an outer needle with sensor loop and a central sampling needle with cavity for biopsy samples and EPR sensor material. A device for EPR of fingernails has sensor loops in a partial glove for holding loops next to fingertips. A device for EPR of teeth has sensor loops in plastic chips that can be held between the teeth.

A method for forwarding a packet may include generating, by a first hash function module, a first hash value based on data included within the packet. The method may also include generating, by a second hash function module, a second hash value based on data included within the packet. The method may additionally include determining, by a first hash region integral to a memory and associated with the first hash function module, whether an index location of the first hash region corresponding to the first hash value includes an entry. Moreover, the method may include determining, by a second hash region integral to a memory and associated with the second hash function module, whether an index location of the second hash region corresponding to the second hash includes an entry. The method may further include, in response to a determination that at least one of the index location of the first hash region corresponding to the first hash value and the index location of the second hash region corresponding to the second hash value includes an entry, forwarding the packet based on forwarding information included within the entry.

Abstract:

Glass compositions suitable for fiber forming having rare earth oxides (REO) and glass fibers having a high modulus are disclosed. The glass composition may include SiOfrom about 44.5 to about 64 weight percent, AlOfrom about 12 to about 32 weight percent, CaO from about 0.1 to about 15.5 weight percent, MgO from about 5 to about 22 weight percent, FeOless than 1 weight percent, TiOless than 2 weight percent, NaO less than 3 weight percent, YOup to 12 weight percent, CeOup to 6 weight percent, ZnO up to 4 weight percent, and BOless than 4.5 weight percent. The glass compositions can be used to form glass fibers and incorporated into various composites.
