Abstract:
A system is provided for enabling attendees of an online broadcast within a collaborative environment to interact with multimedia content during the online broadcast. By rendering the content itself instead of images derived from the content that cannot be interacted with, attendees are enabled to either drive their own multimedia experience, including play, seek, pause/stop, or follow the presenter and consume the multimedia based on the presenter's action (play, pause, stop, seek). The multimedia content may be rendered on each attendee's individual client device through local caching, which contributes to playback quality such that each individual attendee may be able to interact with and control the playback experience of the multimedia content independently.

Abstract:
A notebook component within a note-taking application is utilized as a centralized mechanism for recording notations and providing documentation related to a particular meeting. The meeting participants are provided with centralized access to the notebook component and thus are able to update the notebook record of the meeting collaboratively and in real time. In addition to user-driven updates, updates may also be generated on an automatic or semi-automatic basis. Updates may be made before, during or after the actual meeting. Updates may originate from an application data source outside of the note-taking application itself.

Abstract:
A system for controlling a device to track the location of the device is provided. The system identifies an initial location of the device. The system then identifies a plurality of areas having different sizes. Each area encompasses the identified location. For each of the areas, the system registers the area with a location provider to receive a notification when the location provider detects that the device has left the area. Upon receiving a notification that the device has left an area, the system may repeat the process of identifying the location and the areas and registering the areas to continue tracking the location of the device.
