Abstract:

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can provide an interface for associating at least one portion of selected audio content with visual content to be shared through a content provider system. A text-based scrubber can be provided in the interface for navigating to different segments of the selected audio content, wherein the text-based scrubber permits accessing a first segment of the audio content by selecting a first phrase of the audio content that corresponds to the first segment.

Abstract:

Techniques are described herein that enable and assist a user to generate customized video content and alter the video content without altering the customizations. For example, a social networking system may receive, from a user account associated with the social networking system, an input to create video content and add visual customizations to the video content. In some examples, the social networking system may also receive input from the user to alter the video content by altering the length of the video clip and/or adding a second video clip. The social networking system then alters the video content while maintain the previous customizations. The social networking system may then save the altered video content as a draft or share the altered video content to other users on the social networking system.

Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for editing video clips. The method includes displaying a preview of a video clip through a user interface. The method also includes adding a timed element to the video clip through the user interface. The method also includes adjusting a timing for the timed element through an adjustable timeline, the adjustable timeline based on a length of the video clip. The method also includes adjusting a location of the timed element in the video clip. The method also includes finalizing the video clip to include the timed element.
