The hydrogels are coacervates formed through ionic interactions between anionic polysaccharides, such as hyaluronic acid, and cationic polysaccharides, such as chitosan. The dermal fillers are useful for augmenting soft tissues, reducing soft tissue defects and improving skin quality.
