Abstract:

The present invention relates to a wireless telephone headset for communicating with a telephone, wherein the headset is built into an eyeglass frame, which includes a first temple and a second temple connected by a middle portion and the eyeglass frame has an interior and exterior portions. The headset includes an earpiece coupled to the first temple, a microphone coupled to the second temple, a transceiver circuit coupled to the first temple, wherein the transceiver circuit is connected to the earpiece via a first set of electrical wires and the transceiver circuit is connected to the microphone via a second the of electrical wires; wherein the first set of electrical wires and the second set of electrical wires are coupled to the eyeglass frame; wherein the transceiver circuit further comprises an actuation contact, which includes an open position and a closed position; and wherein when the actuation contact is in the closed position, the headset wirelessly communicates with the telephone and when the actuation contact is in the open position, the headset does not wirelessly communicate with the telephone.

Abstract:

Abstract:

An eyewear with communications capability to pair with a Bluetooth enabled device and equipped with noise cancellation software. The earpieces are connected to a retraction wheel by a flexible cord. The cord winds about the wheel to retract the earpiece and unwinds to extend the earpiece to its operative position. Abstract:

Disclosed are techniques to implement a web based remote control application and/or stand alone application running on an unmodified, commercially available smartphone, that is used to control an video distribution system (e.g., IPTV or video conferencing system) endpoint, for example the ones disclosed in U.S. Patent Application Ser. Nos. 61/172,355 and 61/220,061. The application connects directly to a video server that resides on an IP network (e.g., Internet), and not to (or through) the controlled endpoint. The connection to the server utilizes standard smartphone data network services to access, through the IP network, the server. Remote control commands entered by a user to the smartphone, by the means of keys, touch screen, or other smartphone user input devices, are conveyed to the server, which, in some cases, acts on those commands and, simultaneously and only when applicable, forwards them to the endpoint for local execution.
