A supporting system for air conditioning duct housings or register boxes including a housing member with perpendicular walls defining corners and a flat surface on the bottom and a connecting casing defining an aperture with one or more corner clips that are removably mounted from the outer surface of the walls. The corner clip includes a plate with two arms that are receivable within a longitudinally extending fixed structural member, such as a rail, provided with a longitudinal channel that has a longitudinal trough and opening. Resilient raised tabs provided in the arms keep the latter locked within the channel. Rigid tab members extend perpendicularly from the inner edges of the arm members and are lockingly receivable within the housing member through cooperating slots. A vertex portion between the arm members provides support to the corners.
A base for air handlers for air conditioning systems to support them at a spaced apart relationship from the floor to permit air in. The handler has two supporting assemblies that are separate, parallel to each other and being connected by horizontally disposed extending members that telescopically adjust that separation to cooperate with the dimensions of the air handler. The supporting assemblies include pivotally mounted L-shaped members that have a horizontally disposed arm and a perpendicularly and vertically disposed leg. L-shaped members can be swung to align the arms with the plane define by the supporting assemblies, thereby providing a volumetrically efficient base when in storage.
A base assembly for air handlers for air conditioning systems to support them at a spaced apart relationship from the floor to permit air in. The base assembly has two supporting assemblies that are separate, parallel to each other and being connected by horizontally disposed extending members that telescopically adjust that separation to cooperate with the dimensions of the air handler. The supporting assemblies include supporting sub-assemblies that have substantially a rectangular shape framed with elongated member to which legs have been rigidly mounted at the ends and the other ends of the legs are connected by bracing members. Arm members can be swung to align the arms with the supporting assemblies, thereby providing a volumetrically efficient base when in storage and sturdy enough to support heavy air handlers. A guide for the air handler's filter is provided at the upper plane of the supporting assemblies.
