Systems and methods for modeling, reporting, controlling and optimizing HVAC systems are provided. A server receives HVAC system data, processes the data and sends the processed data to a client device. The client device receives the processed data and then makes certain choices of analog and digital rules to apply to the data to reach conclusions about certain mechanical states of the system and flow efficiencies. The rule choices are sent to the server. The server analyzes the HVAC system based on the rules and generates a report. The report can be used to optimize the mechanical components of the HVAC system or control them directly in a feedback loop.

Adjustment Simulation Method For Energy Consumption
A method for analyzing energy savings for a building is provided. The method includes receiving a historical energy usage and a weather data for a building, a set of operations parameters describing building operations and a set of building system parameters describing building systems. A baseline configuration is submitted to a first energy consumption simulation to determine a baseline energy usage profile. A calibrated configuration is determined from the baseline configuration and the historical energy usage. The calibrated configuration is submitted to a second energy consumption simulation to determine a calibrated energy usage profile. A hypothetical configuration is determined from the calibrated configuration and a set of energy improvement measures. The hypothetical configuration is submitted to a third energy consumption simulation to determine a hypothetical energy usage profile and report. The set of energy improvement measures are approved and implemented based on the hypothetical energy usage profile.
A system and method for analyzing energy savings for a building is provided. The method includes receiving a schedule of occupied days, an occupancy behavior profile and historical energy usage data from which an hourly interval usage is determined. A set of occupancy thresholds is determined by season. Occupied days are determined from the set of occupancy thresholds and the hourly interval usage. The hourly interval usage is analyzed to determine occupied energy consumption in hourly intervals, occupied start and stop time savings, mechanical equipment savings and temperature setpoint savings during an occupied day. The hourly interval usage is also analyzed to determine unoccupied energy consumption in the hourly intervals and refrigeration savings, mechanical equipment savings, computer equipment savings, parking lot lighting savings, hallway lighting savings and temperature setpoint savings during an unoccupied day. Energy consumption, energy savings, operational comparisons and monetary savings are reported.
