My future goal is to attend college to achieve my bachelor’s degree and become a video game designer. Following college I will work towards moving into a place of my own and make a career in the video game world. To reach and achieve my goal I’ve researched and found I need either two years of training in computer animation, or four to five years to graduate with a bachelor’s degree computer animation. I am taking computer class already at Stony Point high school which teaches me more about programs I will use in my future career and how they work. So by taking computer class I am getting a head start on programs I’ll need to be familiar with already being proactive in working for my future and college. I have made it my goal to get what I can from what Stony Point has to offer me during the four years I will have completed upon graduating from high school. I think by being with college forward I will have a better shot in getting into a better college. I know this step in being accepted into college forward will help me get ready for big test in the future like the SAT and ACT which would be good since one of my weak points is big tests. I’ll also gain confidence knowing I have someone there to help keep me on track with applying to colleges and making sure I’m doing my hours. I have the commitment to get my work done to push myself to the limits. If I don’t get something I will look over it on my own time to get it right, but I know joining college forward will help me in learning the things I can’t learn on my own and give me another advantage in being ahead working towards my future. Right now I know I have a long way to go before I get there, but a teacher once told me that nothing in life is given to you, you have to work for it. I’m ready to work.
