Abstract:
A pressure transducer assembly is disclosed for directly monitoring pressure in a fluid which flows through the assembly. The assembly includes a housing defining a chamber therewithin and having an inlet port and an outlet port in fluid-flow communication with the chamber. An electrically insulated body element is sealed within the chamber dividing the chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber is in fluid-flow communication with the inlet and outlet ports. The second chamber is separated from the first chamber by a fluid-tight seal such that any fluid present in the first chamber cannot enter the second chamber. A pressure transducer sensor is secured in the insulated body and exposed to the first chamber such that the sensor can determine the pressure in a fluid in the first chamber and convert the pressure into electric impulses. The sensor is separated from the fluid in the first chamber by an insulating medium across which fluid pressure can be determined. Connected to the sensor are electrical conductors which extend through the insulated body and into the second chamber.
observe the event because such chances don't come along all the time. James Bullock, chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of California at Irvine, is excited a whole new generation of people especially young people are getting the opportunity to see a total eclipse.

Most watched eclipse in history could answer the question of whether life can survive on Mars
That observation could only have been done during an eclipse because the moon was blocking the sun, said James Bullock, UC Irvines professor and chair of the department of physics and astronomy.
Otero County District Attorney James Bullock says 41-year-old officer James Ashby was arrested Friday for the Oct. 12 death of Jack Jacquez Jr., who was shot in his home. Circumstances surrounding the shooting are detailed in the arrest warrant, but that document has been sealed.
irby and his colleagues, the sightings of Segue 2 prove that the models were right, after all. Now the question is whether more dwarf galaxies will be found. There could be thousands more, suggests co-author James Bullock, who said that Segue 2 could turn out to be just the tip of the iceberg.

Least massive galaxy may finally shed light on dark matter's origins
James Bullock, a UC Irvine astronomer who coauthored the study, compared finding the dwarf galaxy to finding an elephant smaller than a mouse. He and other astronomers have been searching for evidence of these tiny galaxies for years; they represent fossil remnants of the early universe that nev
Astronomers' inability to either find or measure these galaxies "has been a major puzzle, suggesting that perhaps our theoretical understanding of structure formation in theuniversewas flawed in a serious way," study researcher James Bullock, a University of California, Irvine cosmologist reported
Finding a galaxy as tiny as Segue 2 is like discovering an elephant smaller than a mouse, said UC-Irvine cosmologist James Bullock, co-author of a paper analyzing the find published last week in The Astrophysical Journal.
fact, Segue 2 is incredibly rare. "[Finding Segue 2] has been a major puzzle, suggesting that perhaps our theoretical understanding of structure formation in the universe was flawed in a serious way," says James Bullock, a cosmologist at the University of California, Irvine and author of the new study.
