Abstract:

A solid cleaning composition includes a solidified surfactant blend. The solidified surfactant blend includes (1) at least one metal alkyl ether sulfate having the formula:wherein the first metal is sodium, potassium, magnesium, or calcium, a is 1 or 2, AO is ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, or combinations thereof, x is 0.1 to 3, and y is 11 to 13. The solidified surfactant blend also includes a (2) solid surfactant and optionally (3) polyethylene glycol. Furthermore, (1) and (2) are present in a weight ratio of from 30:70 to 70:30 based on a total weight of the solidified surfactant blend. The solid cleaning composition has non-cohesive powder flow properties as determined using a Brookfield powder flow tester.

The different advantageous embodiments provide a system for modeling supply chain networks comprising a model manager, a node manager, a pipeline manager, a requisitions manager, and a supply control manager. The model manager is configured to initialize a model. The node manager is configured to initialize a number of nodes within the model. The pipeline manager is configured to generate a number of pipeline data objects describing supply chain relationships between a number of nodes. The requisitions manager is configured to generate and receive requests for supplies. The supply control manager is configured to send and receive supplies according to requests for supplies. Additional modules include modules automatically building models, for modeling repair, borrowing supplies, assessing the impact of dynamically changing parameters, scheduling supply deliveries, and supply lead time.

A highly alkaline detergent is described which includes the use of a carboxylic acid terpolymer in combination with an alkali metal hydroxide. The detergent maintains cleaning functions and also prevents hard water scaling at application temperatures, for example at temperatures of between about 145-180 degrees Fahrenheit and, for example, at a pH of 9.5 to about 13.

Abstract:

Stability enhancement agents for use in a solidification matrices and solid detergent compositions are described. Stability enhancement is provided by a hydratable salt, water and a carboxylic acid terpolymer forming a dimensionally stable solid compositions. Preferred carboxylic acid terpolymers include from about 40 to 90% by weight of a carboxylic acid monomer, anhydride or salt thereof, from about 4 to 40% by weight of a monomer comprising sulfo groups, and from about 4 to 40% by weight of a nonionic monomer set forth in formula (I). The stability enhancement composition for use in solid detergent compositions are preferably biodegradable and may be substantially free of phosphate and/or NTA-free and provide beneficial hard water scale control.
