Abstract:

The invention provides a system for regenerative selective catalytic reduction including a catalyst chamber that contains a catalyst for reducing NOin a gas stream passing therethrough. The system also includes a reactant injector, first and second heat exchangers, and a valve manifold adapted to direct a substantially continuous gas stream through the heat exchangers and catalyst chamber in such a manner as to flow through the catalyst chamber in the same flow direction during each cycle of the system. The invention also provides a process of regenerative selective catalytic reduction wherein the gas stream through the catalyst chamber flows in the same flow direction during each cycle of the process.

Circulating dry scrubbing (CDS) systems and methods utilizes a particle classification unit operation to separate unreacted sorbent (such as lime, limestone, or sodium-based sorbent) such that a reactive fraction of the cut stream may be selectively recovered to a flue gas scrubbing system. Abstract:

A system for removing an interleaf sheet contacting a plate sheet used in an imaging system, comprised of a substantially horizontal member; an assembly comprising at least two elements configured to directly contact and pick up the interleaf sheet, a portion of said assembly connected to said member; a motor configured to move said member in a direction substantially perpendicular to a surface of the interleaf sheet as positioned prior to contact; and a first sensor system that generates a signal indicating when said member is a first predetermined distance from the interleaf sheet; and a second sensor system comprised of a second sensor that generates a signal indicating that the sheet beneath the second sensor is an interleaf sheet; said motor utilizing the first predetermined distance to move said member a second predetermined distance from the interleaf sheet, the at least two elements not contacting each other at the second predetermined distance, said motor moving said member in a direction toward the first predetermined distance to a position where at least a portion of the interleaf sheet is interposed between the at least two elements.

Abstract:

A protective wall structure for protecting boiler tubing in facilities using refuse as a fuel source to produce steam for electrical power generation. The protective wall structure includes an array of shielding tiles, heat transfer bonding material, and elongated compressible material. The shielding tiles include a front surface facing the interior combustion zone of the facility, a rear surface facing the boiler tubes, and a plurality of sidewall surfaces. The heat transfer bonding material is positioned between the boiler tubes and the rear surfaces of the shielding tiles to permit heat transfer and create a bond between the boiler tubes and the shielding tiles. The elongated compressible material is positioned between the sidewall perimeter surfaces of adjacent shielding tiles to provide an expansion joint. This permits relative expansion between adjacent shielding tiles without cracking upon an increase in temperature in the interior combustion zone.

The sidewall end grate block includes a first side which can be placed adjacent to a press plate and a second side which is adjacent to another grate block. The first side includes press plate attachment provisions while the second side includes a tension rod attachment provisions. Abstract:

A new carriage system for a ram feeder has been designed and is provided. As in the prior art, the carriage system has a drive cart to which is attached a driving force member at one end thereof and a ram member on the other and opposing end thereof. The drive cart is supported by and travels upon a carriage table. The carriage system of the present invention replaces the prior art wheel and flat rail arrangement under the drive cart. The wheels together with the associated problems have been eliminated. In the present invention, the carriage system has a guide member attached to the carriage table and a travel member attached to the underside of the drive cart. The guide member is longitudinally oriented on the carriage table in the direction of drive cart travel and has at least one upper wear portion. The guide member guides the drive cart and the attached ram member during a reciprocating stoke cycle of the driving force member. The travel member has at least one lower wear portion.
