Abstract:

A system for capturing a virtual model of a site includes a range scanner for scanning the site to generate range data indicating distances from the range scanner to real-world objects. The system also includes a global positioning system (GPS) receiver coupled to the range scanner for acquiring GPS data for the range scanner at a scanning location. Abstract:

A needle assembly for use with an injection device including a pair of housing members slidably coupled with one another. A needle is structurally attached to one of the housing members such that it is positioned within the two housing members. A first membrane is disposed on an opening of one housing member and a second membrane is disposed on an opening of the other housing member such that the needle is concealed from the view and access of a user thereof. The needle assembly may be contracted by sliding one housing member relative to the other causing the needle to penetrate one of the membranes and administer an injection into or below the skin of the user. Additionally, one or more locking mechanisms may be incorporated to prevent inadvertent needle sticks.

Abstract:

A three-dimensional image is generated using global or local coordinate, 3-D spatial data, and image data gathered from one or more locations relative to a scene. The global or local position of 3-D spatial data points on the image is determined. The position of a point of interest on the three-dimensional image is determined by creating a three-dimensional polygon using adjacent 3-D spatial data points. The global or local position of these points may then be calculated using, for example, a ray tracing algorithm. The global or local position of a point of interest may alternatively be approximated, for example, by interpolating the global or local coordinates of the 3-D spatial data point(s) closest to the point of interest. Furthermore, a distance, bearing, or other measurement between two points of interest may also be calculated.

Abstract:

A system for determining a goodness of a deep learning model comprises a memory coupled with a processor. The processor accesses a first set of vectors representative of images of a biological assay. The vectors of the first set of vectors are outputs of a first deep learning model. The processor creates a first distribution of a first plurality of pairwise comparisons of vectors, of the first set of vectors, which were generated from image pairs with similar cell perturbations. The processor creates a second distribution of a second plurality of pairwise comparisons of vectors, of the first set of vectors, which were generated from image pairs with dissimilar cell perturbations. The processor determines a difference between the first distribution and the second distribution and uses the difference to make a determination of goodness of the deep learning model as applied to the biological assay.
