Abstract:

A thixatropic gelatin carrier composition which is used as a vehicle in the manufacture of soft or hard gelatin capsule. The composition comprises from about 84% to 95% of a vegetable oil, from about 1% to 9% of a viscosity modifier and from about 1% to 15% of a surface active agent. When the carrier composition is stirred it becomes fluid and active solids are dispersed in the carrier during stirring. When the stirring is stopped, the carrier becomes a semi-solid and maintains the active solids in a stable uniform dispersion. Up to about 50% by weight of active solids can be dispersed in the carrier composition and the active solids can include vitamins, pharmaceuticals or nutriceuticals or combinations thereof.

Abstract:

A process for verifying an item deposit via a smart drop box. The process includes an item receptacle, a processor in communication with the item receptacle, a scanning device, and a database. The item receptacle is configured to receive an item from a user, scan the item, and generate item information. The processor is configured to compare the item information generated with identified item information from the database. If the information generated matches the information from the database, the item is accepted. In some embodiments, the deposit verification includes a printed receipt and/or an electronic verification.

Abstract:

A smart drop box, system, and method for providing item deposit verification. A smart drop box includes an item receptacle, a processor in communication with the item receptacle, and a user interface in communication with the processor. The item receptacle is configured to receive an item from a user, determine item information related to the item, and transfer the item to a collection container. The processor is configured to determine payment information based at least in part on the item information. The smart drop box is configured to provide deposit verification based at least in part on at least one of the item information and the payment information. In some embodiments, the deposit verification includes a printed receipt and/or an electronic notification.
