Abstract:

A holding cabinet with closed-loop humidity control system and method for controlling humidity in a holding cabinet are disclosed. According to an embodiment, the method comprises determining a relative humidity set point; activating a heater in a fluid pan; determining if a fluid is present in the fluid pan; measuring the relative humidity in the cabinet; and maintaining the relative humidity within a predetermined range. According to another embodiment, a holding cabinet with a closed-loop humidity control system includes a holding cabinet; an air temperature probe for measuring an air temperature within the holding cabinet; a humidity sensor for measuring a humidity within the holding cabinet; a heater for heating air within the holding cabinet to a predetermined temperature; an air fan for circulating the air and for introducing air from outside the holding cabinet; and a water pan for holding water within the holding cabinet.

Abstract:

A fluid fill system includes at least one sensor for indicating whether a fluid level in a reservoir is equal to or greater than a predetermined fluid level and a process control. The process control obtains a reading from the at least one sensor at a predetermined interval and increments a counter if the reading indicates that the fluid level is equal to or greater than the predetermined fluid level and decrements the counter if the reading indicates that the fluid level is less than the predetermined fluid level. Process control operates a fluid supply mechanism when a value of the counter moves beyond a predetermined value.

Abstract:

A slide bolt assembly is slideably engaged in an astragal disposed at a free end of a semi-active door in a double-door set. The slide bolt assembly includes an elongated base that slideably engages the astragal. The slide bolt assembly defines a threaded hole and a screw lock is rotatably disposed in the threaded hole between an unlocked position and a locked position to lock the elongated base within the astragal. The screw lock defines a central portion and a rim portion peripherally surrounding the central portion. The rim portion presents a contact surface that is planar. A nipple protrudes from the central portion further than the rim portion. When the screw lock is rotated to the locked position, the nipple pierces a wall of the astragal and the contact surface of the rim portion frictionally engages the wall to lock the slide bolt assembly within the astragal at any point along the astragal.

Abstract:

A threshold assembly is disposed below a closure. The threshold assembly includes a sill having a first end and a second end spaced from each other and having an entry portion sloping downwardly from a proximate end to a distal end between the first and second ends. A pair of jamb pedestals are disposed at the first and second ends of the sill, respectively. Each jamb pedestal supports a jamb spaced above the sill. A first wall extends upwardly from the proximate end of the entry portion and a second wall extends upwardly from the sill and along the first wall to define a channel extending longitudinally between the jamb pedestals. The first wall defines an opening which establishes fluid communication from the channel to the entry portion of the sill between the jamb pedestals for directing water from the channel away from the threshold assembly along the entry portion.

Abstract:

An astragal boot for mounting onto a lower end of an astragal includes a platform, a first and second lateral fin spaced from each other and projecting downwardly from the platform, and an auxiliary fin disposed between the first and second lateral fins. The auxiliary fin defines an auxiliary fin edge extending from the first lateral fin to the second lateral fin for sealing engagement with the threshold. The auxiliary fin includes a hub portion and a first and second leg portion each extending from the hub portion to the first and second lateral fins, respectively. Abstract:

An entryway for disposition in a door opening of a building includes a threshold and a corner sealing member mounted in the door opening between the building and the threshold. The threshold has a bottom facing downwardly and a back extending upwardly from the bottom. The corner sealing member has a middle portion disposed partially below the bottom of the threshold, a first vertical portion extending upwardly from the middle portion adjacent the threshold, and a second vertical portion extending upwardly from the middle portion transversely from the first vertical portion. The back of the threshold defines a recess and the second vertical portion of the corner sealing member is disposed in the recess to allow for adequate sealing between the threshold and the corner sealing member and to allow for proper placement of the threshold in the door opening without interference from the corner sealing member.
