Abstract:

The present invention presents TIRKS DLRs over a extranet web interface to a user. The DLRs are presented via secure access to the TIRKS system via an intranet. The Web DLR Delivery (WDD) project consists of the DLR facilities of TIRKS, a midrange-hosted application for gathering DLR information and responding to report requests, a data base for storing the DLR and user information, and a secured external (Extranet) web site. WDD automates the DLR delivery process, providing customer service and cost savings to the company. A spool for storing and transporting heavy strand material, particularly wire, includes a hollow shell with integral legs and reinforcing means in the interior of the shell. In one embodiment, the reinforcing means is a foam filling, which in a second embodiment, the reinforcing means comprises integral braces in the interior of the shell. A cap on the spool allows two or four spools to be banded together in a package assembly. The cap is also configured to permit stacking of the spools.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus for winding an advancing strand onto a spool having an out-turned conical end flange at each end of a cylindrical barrel utilizing a strand traverse guide reciprocated relative to the spool at a linear speed proportional to the relative rotational velocity of the spool. The end limits of reciprocation of the strand guide are established in relation to respective reference positions corresponding to what would be apices of the respective end flanges if the latter were not truncated. During each traverse of the strand guide toward an end flange, the number of turns wound onto the spool outward of the respective reference position is regulated in accordance with the effective winding radius of the spool as determed by measuring the length of strand wound onto the spool for a specified rotational movement thereof.

Abstract:

Golf clubs can be suspended within a golf bag by the use of an add-on club holder releasably attached to the upper edge of a conventional golf bag. The club holder can include an elongated bendable strip having a number of supporting clamps spaced along the strip lower edge to grip the upper edge of the bag. The strip is bendable to conform to the shape of the bag perimeter edge. Heads of the golf clubs can be positioned in slots in the upper edge of the bendable strip. Each slot is aligned with a cantilever finger extending from the elongated strip so that the finger prevents the head of the golf club from slipping out of the slot.
