A press for flattening dough pieces is provided having a floor supported frame, an endless conveyor belt movably carried on the frame and presenting an upper horizontal surface, and at least one movable platen carried on the frame for pressing the dough pieces against the belt. In an embodiment, a sub frame is adjustably supported by the frame to permit leveling and adjustment of said sub frame relative to the frame. Attachment mechanisms are provided for securing the sub frame to the main frame following adjustment between the two. In an embodiment, at least two movable platens are carried on at least one of said frames, both of the platens being movable in a longitudinal horizontal direction and at least one of the platens is movable in a vertical direction. A linear actuator is drivingly connected to the two movable platens. In an embodiment, a loading system for loading dough balls onto the belt is provided.

A loading system for loading dough balls onto a moving upper surface of a conveyor belt includes a transport mechanism arranged to receive dough balls in a sequential stream and to deliver the dough balls to the moving conveyor belt at a speed equal to a speed of the upper surface of the conveyor belt.
A dough press machine is provided for flattening a quantity of dough. The dough press machine includes a cabinet having an upper platen and a lower platen and an extendable and retractable mechanism interposed between at least one of the platens and the cabinet to decrease and increase a space between the upper and lower platens. A sheet is interposed between the upper and lower platens and arranged such that the upper and lower platens will sandwich the sheet therebetween as the space between the platens decreases. The sheet is movable from between said platens to provide access to the sheet while being held in a horizontal orientation. A support structure extends between an upper and lower portion of the cabinet to interconnect such portions around a circumference of the platens such that no non-interconnected portion exceeds an angular extent of 165.
A press for flattening dough pieces comprising a frame supportable on a floor of a workplace, a moving conveyor belt connectable to said frame, a loading system for releasing the dough pieces loaded onto a moving upper surface of said conveyor belt, the dough pieces being released onto said upper surface essentially simultaneously as a matrix unit of multiple rows and multiple columns and at least one vertically and horizontally movable platen carried on said frame and positioned to compressingly engage the dough pieces.

On Tuesday, Corbett's general counsel wrote in a letter to Kane's first deputy that the governor's office would defend the law. But General Counsel James Schultz said that Kane's refusal "establishes a very troubling precedent."
Corbett's general counsel, James Schultz, said the administration was surprised that Kane, "contrary to her constitutional duty," had decided "not to defend a Pennsylvania statute lawfully enacted by the General Assembly."
General counsel James Schultz said in a statement Monday that the administration would not appeal but added that the ruling could indicate an openness to other complaints about the sanctions, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
