Abstract:

An improved hydration method heat avoids clogging for the transfer, solvation, and storage of dry particulate matter for a sealed solvation hopper chamber in combination with a liquid driven eductor and equipped to be connected to a storage container. Specifically, the improvement resides in the steps of reducing the flow of the dry particular matter and flushing the solvating hopper with water automatically at predetermined periodic intervals.

Abstract:

The present invention comprises an unloading pan for bulk dry particulate matter, such as soda ash. The pan comprises a pan inlet and a pan outlet. The pan is preferably designed wherein the source of particulate matter is a railroad car having a car outlet at the bottom to gravity unload therethrough. There is a means to position, and preferably attach, the pan container at the outlet to the source of particulate matter, i. e. , the outlet of the railroad car.

Abstract:

A telephone subscriber to a long distance telecommunication system is permitted, in accordance with this invention, to enter changes in real time utilizing a conventional Touch-tone telephone to control the routing or handling of incoming calls. A real-time update network control point (RTU NCP) is accessed by subscribers and contains input steps which controls the entry of changes by the subscriber. Upon the completion of the entry by the subscriber of the desired changes in RTU NCP, the latter causes the changes to be transmitted to the subscriber's NCP (SUB NCP) which controls the processing of incoming calls to a directory number associated with the subscriber based on subscriber data stored in the SUB NCP. The SUB NCP data corresponding to the subscriber is modified in accordance with the changes, so that incoming calls will be handled in accordance with the changed subscriber data.

Abstract:

An improved method of purifying sodium carbonate from a natural source whereby a dissolved sodium carbonate product is treated with a cationic compound, such as a quaternary amine, to react with carbon-containing contaminants and filtering the product. The filtered modified sodium carbonate solution is then crystallized and dried. The modified sodium carbonate has a greater reactivity or uptake of carbon dioxide for the manufacture of sodium bicarbonate than conventional sodium carbonates.
