Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for sweeping a laser beam in a preset pattern, while, at the same time, directing the pattern to any area in a predetermined scanning area. The invention is particularly useful in LADAR applications. In one version of the invention, a series of optical prisms are arranged in concentric tubes so that the prisms have a common optical path. The tubes and, hence, the prisms, may be independently rotated by precision electric motors coupled to gear rings on the tubes.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for validating a user configuration of a computer system are provided. The method generally includes receiving, through a user interface of a configuration system, a user configuration selection, wherein the user configuration selection modifies the configuration of the computer system. Based on the user configuration selection, one or more contexts in a collection of contexts may be modified. The collection of contexts may be applied to part information for a part of the computer system to determine applicable part information for the modified configuration.
Tunable Voltage Isolation Ground To Ground Esd Clamp
A tunable voltage isolation ground to ground ESD clamp is provided. The clamp includes a dual-direction silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) and trigger elements. The SCR is coupled between first and second grounds. The trigger elements are also coupled between the first and second grounds. Moreover, the trigger elements are configured to provide a trigger current to the dual-direction silicon controlled rectifier when a desired voltage between the first and second grounds is reached.

Abstract:
An IGFET that minimizes the effect of the dislocation at the edge of the device region by displacing the lateral edges of the source and drain regions from the adjacent edge of the opening and the dislocation. This minimizes the lateral diffusion of the source and drain impurities and the formation of metal silicides into the dislocation region. The spacing of the lateral edges of the source and drain regions from the adjacent edge of the opening and the dislocation region is produced by providing additional lateral opposed second gate regions or oxide barrier layer extending from the oxide layer into the adjacent regions of the substrate region and the first gate region extending therebetween. Both the first gate region and the two second gate regions or barrier layer are used in the self-aligned processing of the source and drain regions. The first gate region defines the length of the channel, while the two opposed second gate regions or barrier layer define the width of the channel region.

Abstract:
A silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) device having a high holding voltage includes a PNP transistor and an NPN transistor, each transistor having both p-type and n-type dopant regions in their respective emitter areas. The device is particularly suited to high voltage applications, as the high holding voltage provides a device which is more resistant to latchup subsequent to an electrostatic discharge event compared to devices having a low holding voltage.

A bipolar transient clamp including a RC circuit, a clamping circuit and a breakdown circuit. The RC circuit is configured to control the rate of change of clamp. Moreover, the RC circuit is coupled between a first rail and a second rail. The clamping circuit is configured to pass a current from the first rail to the second rail. In addition, the clamping circuit is coupled to be activated by the RC circuit. The breakdown circuit is coupled between the RC circuit and the clamping circuit. The breakdown circuit is configured to increase the transient trigger voltage of the clamping circuit.
