Abstract:

An approach is provided for providing a user with a ranked list of possible physical addresses in response to an address submitted by the user. An address submitted by a user is parsed and a number of possible candidate addresses are generated from the user provided address. The quality of the candidate addresses is ranked according to the quality of their individual address elements and factors applied to these elements. An overall quality score for each candidate address is thereby derived. The list of candidate address is displayed to the user according to overall quality score ranking.

The apparatus, methods and systems for a truncated postal code smart address parser (hereinafter, “SAP”) described herein implement a text parser whereby users may enter a text string, such as manually via an input field. The SAP processes the input address string to extract address elements for storage, display, reporting, and/or use in a wide variety of back-end applications. In various embodiments and implementations, the SAP may facilitate: separation and identification of address components regardless of the order in which they are supplied in the input address string; supplementation of missing address information; correction and/or recognition of misspelled terms, abbreviations, alternate names, and/or the like variants of address elements; recognition of unique addresses based on minimal but sufficient input identifiers; postal code identification and truncation; and/or the like

Abstract:

An applicator assembly for applying a cord to a tire-building surface that rotates during tire construction. The applicator assembly includes an applicator member to apply the cord. A first rotary device rotates the applicator member about a first axis that is transverse to the surface. A first translation device moves the applicator member in a first linear path relative to the surface. The applicator member may include a roller and/or a resilient member. A second rotary device may rotate the applicator member and the first rotary device around a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis. A second translation device may move the applicator member, the first rotary device, the second rotary device, and the first translation device. A system for applying the cord to a core member may further include a spindle to rotate the core member about the axis of rotation.
