Abstract:
An electronic toy doll including electronic control circuitry responds to selection of one of a plurality of switches on the doll housing and selects associated vocal messages. The control circuitry includes a stored program of instructions and also permits a problem-solution mode of operation where the user is given a message selected by a weighted probability of the occurrence of a problem and then the doll responds according to how the user correctly or incorrectly responds to the various switch response operations possible.

Abstract:
A figure toy which includes a unique actuating mechanism which cooperates with a novel shoulder assembly which allows the toy to emulate a shrug or a wave and to perform other functions of the same sort in a very realistic manner. The shoulder assembly includes a member which pivots about one end when it receives pressure from the actuating mechanism. The other end of the assembly is attached to an arm. Thus, the motion of the shoulder assembly moves the shoulder upwardly and inwardly simulating very closely the raising of the human shoulder such as occurs during a shrug or a wave. The arrangement allows one or the other or both of the shoulders together to be raised.

Abstract:
A playset comprises a plurality of hotspots positioned within a plurality of scenes. A switching mechanism is configured to selectively couple to the each of the plurality of hotspots and is communicatively coupled with a controller. The controller is configured to establish communication with a first object using a first hotspot and determine an object type of the first object and a location of the first object within the playset. The location of the first object corresponds to a scene that contains the first hotspot. The controller is further configured to select an interactive media based on the object type and the location of the first object, select a first media file based on the selected interactive media, and instruct the first media file to be output on an output device.
