Abstract:
Two embodiments of a mechanism for splicing a coaxial radio cable to an antenna wire and grounding the braided outer conductor are disclosed. Both embodiments comprise an injection molded plastic box having two longitudinally spaced and independently operable snap lock covers and an insert molded metal grounding bracket which permits the device to be attached to, for example, an automobile body part. Within each box are locations for receiving an end-stripped coaxial cable and at least one end-stripped antenna wire in opposing alignment with the inner conductor of the coaxial cable so as to define a solder splice point. A soldering fork formed on the insert molded portion of the grounding bracket projects through the floor of the box into the interior thereof to serve as a solder point for the braided outer conductor of the coaxial cable. In the second embodiment an antenna grounding wire is also brought into the box and grounded to the soldering fork along with the braided inner conductor of the coaxial cable. A method comprising a sequence of cable and wire placements, cover closings and soldering steps is disclosed.

Abstract:
A grommet assembly for use in providing a weatherproof conduit for electrical and/or pneumatic lines between, for example, an automotive body structure and the interior of a door hingedly mounted on the vehicle body structure. The grommet is made of a soft material and is provided with opposed open ends, each of which receives a retainer made of a harder plastic material. At least one end of the grommet is provided with a retainer groove and opposed pairs of receptacles which create raised details on the outside surface of the grommet end structure. The retainer is provided with arrowhead-shaped protrusions which, when the retainer is properly disposed within the end structure of the grommet body, fit into and enlarge the receptacles to provide both visual and tactile indications that the grommet retainer is properly installed.

Abstract:
A ground connection bracket for securing coaxial cables to a grounding surface of, for example, a motor vehicle, includes first and second clamping members connected along a common edge by an integral hinge. Each of the clamping members is composed of a generally flat, rectangular panel and has two parallel side walls extending therefrom along edges perpendicular to the hinge edge. At least one contact projects from the panel of each clamping member, and generally semi-circular notches are formed in the side walls of the clamp members adjacent the contacts. A hole passes through the panel of one of the clamp members to receive a bolt for fastening the bracket to a grounding surface. One or more coaxial cables to be grounded are inserted between the clamping members so as to extend through the notches. A short length of insulation on each cable is stripped to expose the shield where the cables pass through the bracket.
Battery Terminal And Post With Rotation Inhibiting Means
A battery connection comprises a battery post protruding from a battery and a battery terminal for clamping connection with the battery post. The battery post has a base and a shaft extending therefrom, and the battery terminal has a clamping ring for surrounding the shaft and a flange extending from the lower edge of the clamping ring for contacting the upper surface of the base. Alternating grooves and ridges are formed on the underside of the flange to provide increased frictional engagement with the base and so inhibit rotation of the terminal relative to the base. Alignment tabs project downwardly from the flange to engage receptacles formed in the surface of the base when the terminal is in a desired angular alignment with the base.

She said she was in shock and initially skeptical that it was really someone from Browns office calling with the news.Brown pardoned Jason Burnett before Thanksgiving for his conviction more than 20 years ago on a charge of manufacturing a controlled substance. The governors office said at the time that the wildfire played no role in the decision.
