Abstract:
a) providing a collapsible structural frame in a folded state, the collapsible structural frame configured to provide a structure to which building material sheets are attached to form a surface; b) converting the collapsible structural frame from the folded state to a deployed state and fastening the collapsible structural frame to a preexisting support; and c) fastening at least a sheet of building material to the surface of the collapsible structural frame. . The method according to claim , wherein step c) comprises fastening a first sheet of building material to a first frame portion of the collapsible structural frame and fastening a second sheet of building material to a second frame portion of the collapsible structural frame, whereby the first and second sheets of building material are not parallel. . An acoustical building panel is disclosed that comprises a fibrous panel comprising: a central portion having a first major surface; a perimeter portion surrounding the central portion; a recess press-formed into the perimeter portion, the recess circumscribing the first major surface and comprising a recess floor surface; a second major surface opposite the first major surface; and side edge surfaces that define a perimeter of the fibrous panel and extend from the second major surface to the recess floor surface.
