Abstract:

An electro-pneumatically operated paint ball gun operates without the use of a mechanical sear, and includes a pneumatically operated hammer assembly effective to bump open a discharge valve and fire the gun. A programmable, microprocessor-based controller allows default values for time intervals of operation of the gun to be programmed, and also allows a user of the gun to access and change default values so that the operation of the gun can be modified to better meet the user's preferences. A cyclic rate of fire of as much as paint ball shots per second or more is possible with a paint ball gun according to this invention. Further, a retrofit kit assembly provides for conversion of a conventional “autococker” type of paint ball gun into a gun embodying the present invention.

A hammer member of the hammer assembly is preferably coupled for reciprocation in unison with a bolt of the paint ball gun. A method of operating the inventive paint ball gun includes pneumatic reciprocation of the hammer member and bolt in unison. The paint ball gun may include a pair of solenoid valves activated alternatingly to flow pressurized gas to the hammer assembly, and to allow an increased cyclic rate of operation for the paint ball gun.

A system and method for staffing temporary medical positions offered by medical service providers to medical professionals. Communications between the medical service providers and medical professionals may be via a temporary medical position staffing system, thereby increasing the rate and times at which the medical service providers and medical professionals can be performed. A medical service provider may order a temporary medical position to be filled and the system may generate communications with the medical professionals over a variety of different electronic mediums to notify the medical professionals about the temporary medical position. Abstract:

Paint ball guns frequently break paint balls within the gun. When this happens the gun is jammed with paint and residue of broken paint balls, and a user of the gun cannot fire the gun. An improved paint ball gun includes structures and features which allow quick opening of the barrel and breach of the gun for cleaning. After cleaning of the barrel and breach of the gun, the barrel and gun breach are quickly returned to firing position, and a user of the gun loses only a few seconds of game time before being able to resume firing. A kit of retrofit parts, as well as methods of making and operating the improved paint ball gun are also disclosed.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for temporarily suspending a workflow associated with a work item. The system is configured to establish a communicable link with a queue to retrieve a first work item. The system is configured to receive a notification from a first device, where the notification comprises a second work item. The system temporarily suspends the first work item and the work flow associated with the first work item, in response to receiving the second work item from the first device. Once the system determines execution of a user action associated with the second work item, it restores the suspended first work item and the one or more suspended sessions associated with the first work item.
