Abstract:

A method of implementing zero stub serial termination component mounting in an information handling system includes providing a first and second serial terminator option. The first serial terminator option includes a first pad and a second pad on a circuit board. The second serial terminator option is perpendicular to the first serial terminator option on the circuit board. The second serial terminator option includes a third pad and shares the second pad with the first serial terminator option on the circuit board. One of the first serial terminator option and second serial terminator option are adapted for receiving a component coupled across the pads of the respective serial terminator without leaving a stub which adversely impacts a signal integrity of a signal traversing the respective serial terminator.

A system and method for translating addressing protocols between two types of storage drives in a storage environment is provided. A storage environment may include a JBOD of Serial ATA drives coupled to a host server through an external SCSI connection. The addressing protocol of the host server will typically involve addressing each Serial ATA drive by a unique SCSI target ID. This addressing protocol of the host server is translated to an addressing protocol in which each Serial ATA drive is addressed through unique LUN identifier and a single SCSI target ID, which is the addressing scheme of some SCSI-based peripheral controllers.

Abstract:

In accordance with the present disclosure, a system and method a power deliver system is presented. The power delivery system includes at least two power supplies with a bridge connecting an output of each of the at least two power supplies. The bridge may be made of busbars, each of which including an integral attachment point. Each of the attachment points may correspond to a lug which has been specifically keyed to the shape of the attachment point. The lugs may be attached to conductor cables that provide power from the power supplies to components in an information handling system. In some embodiments, each end of a conductor cable may include lugs of the same shape, to ensure that the correct voltage is supplied to the components of the information handling system.
