My passion for real estate began in my twenties when I bought my first home at 23 years old. Since then I have bought, sold, built, and rehabilitated dozens of homes both for myself and my clients. I began my real estate career working for an investment bank putting together mergers and acquisitions for mortgage companies. Upon leaving the investment bank, I was involved in building a few companies centered around real estate, which included an integrated real estate and mortgage company, a company which invested retirement assets in land in Costa Rica, and another company that focused on properties affected by foreclosures. While I enjoy the challenges of building companies from the ground up, my true passion is working directly with my clients. Prior to my career in real estate, I worked as a financial planner where I helped educate my clients on the advantages of planning for college as well as retirement. For a few years I also worked for a large publically-traded fund company selling mutual funds to brokers/dealers, where I had the highest producing territory quarter after quarter. For me, being a Realtor is the best job. I get to meet new people on a daily basis and when it comes to real estate, like people, no two properties are the same. The diversity I experience as a Realtor keeps me fresh and engaged in the industry which means I'm always ready for the next challenge presented by my clients. I am happily married to my wife, and we have a son who also offers me some diversity on a daily basis as he continues to learn more about the world. I have lived in Colorado since 1986, and after living in a ski town for 10 years, I moved back to the Front Range and have lived in the Golden / Evergreen area since 1998. The Evergreen community offers the best of both worlds. It's close enough to Denver to enjoy the amenities and conveniences of the city but at the end of the day you get to retreat to your mountain sanctuary and enjoy the closeness a small community has to offer.
