Abstract:

A bird decoy comprises a body and at least two appendages extending from the body. The appendages can be shaped to approximate an appearance of a wing of a bird. Each appendage can have at least two distinct moveable members, each of which is independently controllable relative to the other. An associated method of luring a live bird to a predetermined location comprises positioning the bird decoy in the vicinity of the predetermined location. The method further includes independently acting, in one or more defined sequences, movement of the body and movement of the at least two appendage to replicate the appearance of a live bird.

A method and apparatus of generating display data based on at least one input display value received from a touch screen device is disclosed. According to one example method of operation the method may include receiving an input display value in a predefined enclosed area of an input domain, and calculating a parametric representation of the received input display value based on the boundaries of the predefined enclosed area in the input domain. The predefined enclosed area may be a triangle. The operations may also include mapping the parametric representation of the input display value to a corresponding output display value in an output domain. The operations may also include displaying the at least one output display value via the display device.

Abstract:

A method of generating dynamically altering images which are capable of simulating fluid effects in real-time on a static scene. The method includes the steps of loading a plurality of graphical components, and repeatedly applying each of these graphical components to a texture map in a sequence of toroidally incremented locations at a predetermined repetition rate to create a texture map overlay for each of a plurality of scene frames. Each of these toroidally incremented locations are determined by a non-linear combination of a linear offset vector and the location of the last graphical component that has been applied. Then, each of the plurality of scene frames are transmitted to a visual projection device at a predetermined frame rate in order to display the dynamically altering images.

The logs may be segmented and correlated, with the segments or correlated portions displayed in different colors. A user may manipulate the display of the logs or log segments to assist in correlating them. The user may also manipulate the display so that the view provided of the wellbore and the projected logs changes in any one or all of three dimensions. In addition, the user may manipulate the display by navigating along the length of the borehole to view the projected logs at any point along the well path.
