Abstract:

Systems and method which allow for user interaction with and control of televisions and other media device are disclosed. A television set is provided with a face and/or palm detection device configured to identify faces and/or palms and map them into coordinates. The mapped coordinates may be translated into data inputs which may be used to interact with applications related to the television. In some embodiments, multiple faces and/or palms may be detected and inputs may be received from each of them. The inputs received by mapping the coordinates may include inputs for interactive television programs in which viewers are asked to vote or rank some aspect of the program.

A method and system for presenting television program guide information is provided. A program guide is obtained, and program viewing patterns of a viewer are monitored. Information from the program guide is selectively presented to the viewer based on the viewing patterns. Selectively presenting information from the program guide includes displaying a listing of channels viewed more frequently on a guide screen in descending order of viewing frequency.

Abstract:

Provided herein are systems and methods for an intelligent diagnostic probe configured to provide troubleshooting guidance during diagnosing faults within vehicle electrical systems. The intelligent diagnostic probe is configured, in some embodiments, to receive raw measurement data, such as voltage, current, and resistance, from tools and take the data into an intelligence system so as to interpret the data and provide actionable output for practitioners operating the intelligent diagnostic probe. The intelligent diagnostic probe is configured, in some embodiments, to divide vehicle electrical diagnosis procedures of into segments, include appropriate tolerance ranges for readings, and provide feedback and suggestions regarding the readings. The intelligent diagnostic probe is configured, in some embodiments, to operate as an artificial intelligence that uses a large number of previously coded measurements to learn to accurately diagnose electrical faults based on currently measured raw data.

Abstract:

A method for application connection includes receiving, by a first electronic device, a list of application active sessions based on the active sessions being in an area of a global positioning system (GPS) location of the first electronic device. The first electronic device receives a selection of an active session associated with a first application running on a second electronic device. In response to the selection of the active session, the first electronic device receives information including at least a service set identification (SSID) and a network security key associated with the secure local network. The first electronic device connects to the secure local network without user input of the SSID and the network security key from a user of the first electronic device. The first electronic device connects to the first application running on the second electronic device via the secure local network.
