Abstract:

A telephone network constructed according to the present invention includes call redirection functions that redirect calls intended for a toll-free-number or central number of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to one of a plurality of available Internet Protocol (IP) gateways operated by the ISP. Call redirection may be performed within a coupled signaling network during a database lookup or Service Control Point operation, at a signal switching point of a destination switch or by a PBX operated by the ISP. The call redirection may be static or may be dynamic. In static call redirection, all calls are redirected to a single IP gateway. In dynamic call redirection, one of a plurality of available IP gateways is selected based upon operating conditions. In making such selection, IP gateway loading, IP gateway availability, telephone network loading, telephone network availability and telephone network routing costs are considered.

Abstract:

Provided is a combustion engine having a combustion chamber. The combustion engine comprises an engine housing having an air intake port, a mixed conductor, a water intake port, an exhaust turbine and a hydrogen compressor assembly. The air intake port provides air to the mixed conductor which provides an oxygen-pure fraction of air to the combustion chamber by conducting oxygen ions in the air from a retentate side to a permeate side when the oxygen partial pressure on the permeate side is less than that on the retentate side. The water intake port provides water to the combustion chamber for combustion with hydrocarbon fuel and the oxygen-pure fraction of the air to produce exhaust fluid. The exhaust fluid expands in the exhaust turbine causing the turbine rotor to rotate producing mechanical energy. The hydrogen compressor assembly extracts hydrogen from the exhaust fluid and provides hydrogen to the exhaust turbine.

Abstract:

A padding protective arrangement for furniture includes an elastic connective member and a plurality of cushioning pads. The elastic connective member has first and second end connecting portions, and a connector provided on the first end connecting portions. Each of the cushioning pads has a thickness larger than that of the elastic connective member, and a through mounting slot formed on the cushioning pad, wherein the elastic connective member is arranged to penetrate the cushioning pads at the respective mounting slot in such a manner that the first and the second end connecting portions are detachably connecting with each other by the connector to define a cushioning loop within the elastic connective member and the cushioning pads, wherein the cushioning loop is arranged to fittedly encircle a rim portion of the furniture for providing a cushion effect to absorb shock when a user accidentally hits the rim of the furniture.

Abstract:

An electronic device burn-in thermal management system includes Burn-in-Boards (BIBs) with quick disconnect connectors to easily connect and disconnect the BIB () from liquid cooling lines () in a rack that can hold one or more BIBs. The BIB () may include liquid cooled heat sinks () embedded in the BIB sockets () in order to cool the electronic devices undergoing burn-in test (DUT). This arrangement allows the DUT to make positive thermal contact with the heat sink when it is mounted in the BIB socket and allows the user to remove the BIB () quickly after completing a test to load the next batch of DUTs onto a separate BIB.

Abstract:

In various embodiments, a system, method and apparatus for networking at a convention is provided. In one embodiment, a method is presented. The method includes receiving a login identification from a user over the Internet. The method further includes encrypting a portion of the login identification from the user. The method also includes querying a database as to whether the login identification with the encrypted portion of the login identification matches an entry in the database. The database is related to a convention which the user is attending. The method further includes granting the user access to the database. In another embodiment, a system is presented. The system includes a personal digital assistant (PDA). The PDA has a network interface. The PDA has a user interface. The PDA is to receive login information from a user. The PDA is also to transmit the login information over the Internet to a server. The PDA is further to receive convention information from the server over the Internet consistent with access permissions of the user.
