Abstract:

A ferrite load driver system in accordance with the invention includes a clock generator configured to generate a digital clock signal. The system further includes a digital pulse generator configured to generate an enable pulse having a pulse width equal to a certain number of clock cycles of the digital clock signal. The enable pulse is received by a driver element of the system. The driver element responds by driving a current in a first direction through the ferrite load for setting a first magnetic flux.

Abstract:

A unitary blank of injection molded plastic includes a back panel, first side panels hingedly connected to the back panel, a second side panel hingedly connected to the back panel, front panels hingedly connected to the second side panel, a cover panel hingedly connected to the front panels, and shelves hingedly connected to respective first side panels. To assemble the display, the panels are folded so that the back panel, the side panels, and the front panels surround an interior space, and the cover panel overlaps the first side panels. Latches are provided to retain the cover panel on the first side panels. Each shelf is folded to extend into the interior space, where it is supported by ledges on the second side panel and held in place by tabs which snap into slots. The shelves have tongues which extend forward of the front panels.

Abstract:

A merchandising display and dispensing system for displaying and dispensing articles, including cylindrical shaped articles or rolls of disk-shaped articles. In particular, the invention relates to a modular display and dispensing system having a plurality of modules fitted with one another. Each module comprises a left side panel and a right side panel which are fitted together and form a serpentine chute which feeds articles by gravity to an access tray where an article can be removed by hand, thus permitting another article to enter the tray. The front of the module receives a front cover for covering the chute and provides a surface for indicia of contents inside the module. The front cover is preferably hinged at the bottom to permit reloading product in the top of the chute. Various connecting structures can be formed on the side panels and adapted to join the module to a front cover, to another adjacent module, to a module base, and/or to a module header to form a modular display and dispensing system.

Abstract:

A combined shipping and display device formed by folding from a single blank of sheet material such as corrugated cardboard. The device includes a display part, and a removable cover which is hingedly connected to the display part at a score or fold line. Preferably, the cover has two lines of perforation which are parallel and adjacent to the fold line to define a connection strip between the display part and the cover. A pull tab is attached to each end of the connection strip to separate the cover from the display part. When such a merchandising display is used as a shipping carton, the cover closes to enclose the merchandise contained in the display part as well as a portion of the display part. Removing the cover from the display part will open the shipping carton and display the merchandise on the display part.

Abstract:

A reed switch assembly having a customizable length of activation is disclosed. One embodiment of the reed switch assembly may comprise a reed switch comprising a first reed contact, a second reed contact, a reed switch body enclosing the first reed contact and the second reed contact, and a bias magnet. The bias magnet may be positioned a certain distance away from the reed switch body to close the reed switch by a magnetic field. The reed switch assembly may further comprise a diversion blade that is configured to move in and out of a space between the reed switch body and the bias magnet. The diversion blade positioned in the space may open the reed switch by diverting the magnetic field applied by the bias magnet.

Abstract:

A driver for a ferrite load includes a controller, a clock generator, and a pulse generator. The driver includes a first driver element coupled to the pulse generator and configured to provide a first pulse with a first width that drives a current in a first direction through the load for setting a first magnetic flux. The driver includes a second driver element coupled to the pulse generator and configured to provide a second pulse, having a second width that is independent of the first width, that drives a current in a second, opposite direction through the load for setting a second magnetic flux. The driver includes a feedback input that is configured to receive at least one signal used by the controller to selectively cause the pulse generator to activate one of the first and second driver elements to apply a first or second pulse, respectively, to the load.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for sit on top circuit board ferrite phase shifters are provided. In at least one embodiment, the system comprises a waveguide ferrite phase shifter configured to propagate electromagnetic energy longitudinally between the ends of the waveguide ferrite phase shifter, a stripline circuit board that includes a conductive trace, and one or more conductive pins configured to couple electromagnetic energy between the conductive trace and an end of the waveguide ferrite phase shifter. The waveguide ferrite phase shifter comprises at least one ferromagnetic core that extends longitudinally between the ends of the waveguide ferrite phase shifter, at least one dielectric slab that abuts one side of the ferromagnetic core and extends longitudinally through the waveguide ferrite phase shifter against the ferromagnetic core, and a metalized rectangular housing that encases the ferromagnetic core and the dielectric slab and extends longitudinally between the ends of the waveguide ferrite phase shifter.
