Abstract:

The present invention is direct to a Live Network Explorer (LNE) which allows users to graphically navigate through a web of interconnected friends on a gaming console. The LNE provides a real-time graphical representation of friend-of-friend relationships, with the currently-viewed user as a visual node in the screen center. The center node is surrounded by nodes representing that user's friends. Real-time animation is used to represent transitions as the user navigates from person to person. The LNE also represents groups as a visual node in this graphically interconnected web so that the user can travel to a group that a person belongs to, and can see all the people inside the group by connections. The user can navigate to any of these people in the group. The user can click on a person to bring up their digital identity details.

Abstract:

Techniques to enable parental control for a media console are described. One such technique involves enabling user-specific security (or rights) settings. This technique includes first receiving a user identifier from a user interface of a media console. The technique includes next determining a first security profile for the media console based on the user identifier. In this technique, the first security profile defines a supervised operating configuration for the media console that is specific to the user identifier, and which is controlled by an authorized party, such as a parent. Finally, the technique includes enabling use of the first media console subject to the first security profile. In this technique, the first security profile thereby defines parental control choices regarding use of the first media console by the first user, e. g. , a child.

Abstract:

A packaging system is disclosed for shipping a prosthetic tissue valve in a storage solution and preparing and loading of the bioprosthetic valve onto a catheter-based delivery system. The packaging system includes a fluid tight container filled with the storage solution attached to a delivery catheter, wherein the container surrounds the prosthetic tissue valve that is in a pre-loaded position on the delivery catheter during shipment and storage. The prosthetic tissue valve may include an attachment mechanism that attaches to the delivery catheter to properly position the tissue valve for loading within the delivery catheter. In another embodiment where the prosthetic tissue valve is not attached to the delivery catheter during shipment, the attachment mechanism may interact with the prosthetic tissue valve shipping container to prevent the bioprosthetic valve from moving during shipment.

Abstract:

Apparatus and methods for coordinating tournaments among multiple amusement games are disclosed. Tournaments of differing geographic and temporal scope are accomplished using communications systems linking amusement games at multiple sites. Player interactivity is enhanced through the communication of player game statistics and other player information between amusement game devices and also through the availability of such information over the Internet. Members of a media community share content where each member of the community is associated with a profile and a portable media device. A portion of the profile is used to create a media card that includes on or more actionable elements that enable the member to interact with the media community. The media card may be embedded in a memory area of the portable media player and accessible by one or more other members of the media community. Utilizing the tag, a member may create and share playlists with other members of the community. Also, a member of the media community can create a friend list comprising of media cards of other members to interact with the other members associated with the media cards.
