Abstract:

Disclosed are methods and systems for sending targeted and contextual promotional offers on behalf of a merchant by receiving location information for a particular venue by a storage/processing module, gathering contextual information, mapping merchant requirements to the location information, and sending the promotional offers to users, the contextual information provided by portable communication devices, and the mapping based on a predefined criteria and a subset of users whose requirements are mapped on the predefined criteria.

Abstract:

The input bandwidth of a data transfer device is increased by altering the conventional memory arbitration method in which a data cell is stored and a data cell is forwarded during each data transfer cycle. The input data rate is monitored and when the input data rate exceeds the maximum average throughput of the memory, the outcome of the memory arbitration cycle is changed so that the memory arbitration cycle consists of two stores (memory write operations) instead of one store and one forward (memory read operation. ) In effect, the input memory arbitration process steals cycles from the output memory arbitration process when the input load exceeds that of the maximum average memory throughput. In accordance with one embodiment, the input data rate is monitored by examining input port FIFO buffers for the presence of data cells waiting for storage. Based on the results of the FIFO monitoring and the outcome of the current port arbitration cycle, a decision is made on the following port arbitration cycle whether to change the normal memory arbitration pattern.

Abstract:

Apparatus and methods are provided for calibrating and operating a receiver circuit. An exemplary method comprises the steps of applying a first voltage offset to a first input of an amplifier circuit, generating an output signal at an output of the amplifier circuit based on the first voltage offset and a second voltage offset at a second input of the amplifier circuit, adjusting the second voltage offset based on the output signal, and maintaining the second voltage offset at a constant voltage when the output signal is indicative of the second voltage offset cancelling the first voltage offset.
