Abstract:

An aneurysm shield anchoring device includes a curved surface to cover an aneurysm. The curved surface includes a major axis with first and second major-axis edges and a minor axis orthogonal to the major axis with first and second minor-axis edges. The curved surface includes an eccentric form factor disposed symmetrically along the major axis as well as a semi-circular form factor orthogonal to the major axis. A spring is coupled to the curved surface such that the spring is disposed to urge more force upon the curved surface at the minor-axis edges than at the major-axis edges. The curved surface is also configured with an aneurysm-occlusion structure.
