Abstract:
A bicycle rack is provided for connection to a vehicle, and especially a bus for the transport of a bicycle. The bicycle rack has a frame pivotally connected to a bracket which is connectable to a front of a bus. A pair of elongate cradles traverse the frame of the rack. Each elongate cradle is capable of receiving a bicycle. Each elongate cradle includes a rear wheel cradle and a front wheel cradle. The front wheel cradle has a spring operated wheel lock. The wheel lock includes a rotatable armature which overlays and holds the front tire of the bicycle in a locked position. The armature is actuated by the weight of the front wheel or by the manual activation of an adjacent handle.
Strut Assembly With Inverted Air Spring Configuration
An air spring assembly is mounted to a shock absorber to form a strut assembly. The shock absorber includes an outer cylinder with a shock piston and piston rod mounted within the outer cylinder. The outer cylinder includes a shock mount that is attached to a vehicle wheel. The air spring assembly includes an upper mount, which is attached to a vehicle body member, and a lower mount that is attached to the outer cylinder. An air spring piston is mounted to the upper mount via a bearing assembly to permit relative rotation between the air spring piston and the vehicle body member. A flexible member extends from the lower mount to a lower end of the air spring piston. The piston rod is mounted at one end to the shock piston and at an opposite end to the air spring piston. An isolator is mounted between the piston rod and the air spring piston to minimize shock loads.
An air spring assembly includes a primary airbag mounted to a piston air bag such that the piston airbag provides a rolling surface for the primary airbag. A change in the piston airbag pressure changes the effective rate of the primary air spring. A relatively small change in the piston airbag volume provides a change in the spring rate of air spring assembly as the diameter of the rolloff surface is selectively modified.
A strut suspension can include a shock-absorber/spring assembly having a lower portion mountable at one end to an upper portion of the steering knuckle. A transverse link can be connectible to the steering knuckle at a location opposite from the shock-absorber/spring assembly. A rocker arm can be supportable for pivotal movement from the vehicle body and can be pivotally connectible to the shock-absorber/spring assembly from the steering knuckle. A push rod can be pivotally connectible to the rocker arm and can extend between the rocker arm and the transverse link. The upper end of the shock-absorber/spring assembly can be connected to either an inboard or outboard portion of the rocker arm, while an upper end of the push rod is connected to the other of the outboard or inboard portion of the rocker arm.

An air spring assembly is mounted to a shock absorber to form a strut assembly. The shock absorber includes an outer cylinder with an internal piston and piston rod mounted within the outer cylinder. The piston rod is mounted to a vehicle frame member and the outer cylinder is mounted to a vehicle wheel. The air spring assembly includes a flexible member and an air spring piston that is supported by the outer cylinder. One end of the air spring piston is crimped around the flexible member to form a sealed attachment interface between the outer cylinder and the flexible member.

Abstract:
A gerotor pump includes an outer rotor having a first toothed surface and lobes that extend inwards. An inner rotor is eccentrically aligned relative to the outer rotor and includes a second toothed surface and lobes that extend outwards. Planetary gears are located between the outer rotor and the inner rotor. Each planetary gear has a third toothed surface that intermeshes with the first toothed surface and the second toothed surface.
An air suspension includes a plurality of air spring assemblies that each include a piston airbag and a primary airbag mounted over the piston airbag. The primary and piston airbags each have a variable volume that is controlled independently of the other for active suspension control. Each piston airbag includes a piston intake valve and a piston exhaust valve. Each primary airbag includes a control valve that is operable to supply and exhaust air from the corresponding primary airbag. The control valves and piston intake valves operate independently of each other. A compressor supplies air to a supply reservoir which is used to supply air to the primary and piston airbags. The compressor includes a bypass loop that directs exhausted air to a compressor inlet when the compressor is running.

When the news of Roys placement as a finalist came, the world held its breath, Jeffrey Lloyd, the minister of education said in a statement. Its an amazing feat: No one in the Bahamas has gone this far.
