Abstract:

This invention pertains to a coated, bonded or non-woven abrasive article containing precisely shaped particles and a binder. These precisely shaped particles can contain abrasive grits, fillers, grinding aids and lubricants. The binder is preferably a mixture of a resole phenolic resin and a free radical curable resin, resulting in improved cutting and life span. Also disclosed is a method of forming the coated, bonded or non-woven abrasive article.

Abstract:

A method for making abrasive agglomerate particles from a composition comprising at least a radiation curable binder and solid particulates. The method comprises the steps of forcing the composition through a perforated substrate to form agglomerate precursor particles which then separate from the perforated substrate. Then, the particles are irradiated to form soldified, handleable agglomerate particles before being collected.

Abstract:

A non-disruptive, on-line testing and switchover method and apparatus in a high availability, fiber channel switching environment. In a network having an active switching element, a redundant switching element and a port, one aspect of the present invention provides for verifying a working data path from the port to the redundant switching element, and thereafter verifying a working control path to the redundant switching element. Both verification tests take place without interrupting operation on the network. In addition, another aspect of the present invention provides for recognizing a failure occurrence in the active switching element, and thereafter switching to the redundant switching element with the potential for minimal frame loss.

Abstract:

Methods for making ceramic aggregate particles comprising forming a plurality of ceramic aggregate precursor particles from a composition by forcing the composition through at least one orifice in a substrate, at least partially curing the ceramic aggregate precursor particles, and heating the ceramic aggregate precursor particles to provide ceramic aggregate particles wherein solid particulates are bonded together by ceramic binder. In another aspect, the present invention provides methods for making an abrasive article utilizing methods for making abrasive ceramic aggregate particles comprising forming a plurality of ceramic aggregate precursor particles by passing a composition through at least one orifice in a substrate, separating the abrasive ceramic aggregate precursor particles from the substrate, at least partially curing the abrasive ceramic aggregate precursor particles, heating the abrasive ceramic aggregate precursor particles to provide abrasive ceramic aggregate particles bonded together by ceramic binder, and combining at least a portion of the abrasive ceramic aggregate particles with abrasive article binder material and abrasive material, with or without another abrasive material, to provide an abrasive article.

A data communication architecture including a plurality of devices having input/output (I/O) ports supporting communication at a first rate and a data processor having a number of I/O ports where each I/O port supports data communication at a second data rate. The second data rate is at least double the first data rate. A communication link coupled to one of the data processor I/O ports supports the second data rate. A bridge device is coupled to the communication link and to the I/O ports of the plurality of devices. A method and apparatus for providing link aggregation and 10. 2 gigabit per second throughput in a Fibre Channel fabric.
