Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for managing information related to backup storage activities of data storage systems. In a computer system having one or more independent backup data storage systems coupled to each other and each serving one or more clients, a user may obtain information related to backup activities of any of the backup storage systems from a single location. Through a user interface associated with any of the backup storage systems, or through a stand alone user interface, a user may manage (e. g. , organize, display, print) information related to backup activities of any or all of the backup storage systems. System administrators can design and store a variety of report formats that may be utilized by any user to display or print various parameters associated with backup activities in a particular manner. Report formats may be edited by users, and displayed parameters may be dynamically updated to provide for active monitoring of one or more backup storage systems. Additionally, periodic backup activity reports can be generated and automatically sent to designated locations, for example to one or more printers and/or to one or more designated recipients via E-mail.

Abstract:
This invention is a system and method for a system and method for interfacing with a user for a client application for carrying out backup and restore operations and related configuration. The method includes presenting a user with a user interface for performing a dialogue and using information acquired in the dialogue for performing a configuration or a backup or restore operation.
Generating And Launching Remote Method Invocation Servers For Individual Client Applications
A method of providing and launching private RMI servers for individual client applications is presented. A user software component such as a Web Accessible GUI is launched for a user. The user logs-in through the user component wherein a single RMI WAG Server process is provided for each client GUI or CLI invoked by the user.

Abstract:
A backup reporting framework Graphical User Interface (GUI) comprises a combination of components that make it possible to display a Reporting GUI to the customer on the customer's desktop. The framework includes three main components, a server component, a wag-server middleware component, and a monitor server middleware component. The Server Component handles all the operations necessary to start the GUI or Command Line Interface (CLI) interaction with the Middleware Components. The WAG Server Middleware component provides a mechanism for the client application to interact with the server. The WAG Server component gives the client side applications access to data resident on the server and allow for command and control from the client side. The monitor server middleware component also provides a mechanism for the client application to interact with the server. It gives the client side application access to data resident on the server and allows for command and control from the client side.
The present invention comprises a generic mechanism for reporting on backup operations. An object is abstracted in order to provide a generic reporting object, and the generic reporting object is displayed by the reporting GUI. The GUI is thus provided for handling any object which is abstracted to the generic format. The generic format is applicable to any number of objects which would otherwise require the GUI to contain code specific for displaying the object.
A user selects one or more storage area network resources for purposes of viewing respective configuration information. Based on a respective selection by the user, a management control system determines whether it maintains corresponding configuration information associated with the selected one or more resources. If so, the management control system generates a respective configuration view for the user to view respective configuration information associated with the selected one or more resources. If not, the management control system identifies a remote server that manages the selected one or more resources and communicates with the remote server to convey a configuration view generated by the remote server through the management control system to the user for viewing on a display screen. Thus, the management control system can either serve the requested configuration information to a client or act as a proxy for retrieving and serving the requested configuration information to the user.

A New Castle County jury deliberated about 20 hours over three days before finding Otis Phillips, 38, and Jeffrey Phillips, 23, guilty of first-degree murder in the death of tournament organizer Herman Curry, 47.Witnesses testified that Otis Phillips walked up to Curry on the soccer field, tapped him on the shoulder, told him he was going to die, then shot him three times. Authorities said Jeffrey Phillips shot into the crowd, killing Kamara, as he and Otis Phillips tried to escape. The two suspects were found hiding in a nearby backyard, with Jeffrey Phillips suffering from a gunshot wound in the leg, after the car in which they were riding crashed. Sheldon Ogle, 43, a cousin of Otis Phillips, was found fatally shot in the driver's seat of the car after being hit by return gunhosted by a Jamaican family at an unlicensed dance club. Prosecutors say Jeffrey Phillips began spraying bullets outside the party after Williams was shot, and that members of the Sure Shots then plotted to go after Curry, a well-known member of Wilmington's Jamaican immigrant community, in revenge.Attorneys for both Jeffrey Phillips and Otis Phillips tried to discredit several witnesses who testified against the defendants, including three Sure Shots members who were given probation after pleading guilty to participating in a criminal gang and agreeing to testify.
After three days of deliberation, a New Castle County jury found Otis Phillips guilty of 13 charges including first-degree murder, second-degree murder and manslaughter, and Jeffrey Phillips guilty of 11 charges including first-degree murder and manslaughter.Prosecutors charged that Otis Phillips and Jeffrey Phillips, who are not related, were members of the Sure Shots street gang and went to a Jamaican soccer tournament in Eden Park on July 8, 2012 seeking revenge against members of the Jamaican community because a Jamaican man shot and killed a friendEyewitnesses testified at trial that Otis Phillips and Jeffrey Phillips walked into the park together that day, around 2:30 p.m., dressed in black and with grim looks on their faces. Otis walked directly to Herman Curry and tapped Curry on his shoulder with his right hand and as Curry turned, Otis rAs this was happening, witnesses testified Jeffrey Phillips pulled out a gun, turned toward the crowd and began shooting. At that moment witnesses said they saw Alexander Kamara Jr., who was waiting for his turn to play in the tournament, drop to the ground and never move again. But the jury apparently also believed the defense argument that the killing of Kamara was a reckless act by Jeffrey Phillips and not an intentional one. The panel found both defendants guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter for Kamara. And while prosecutors had argued that Jeffrey Phillips was guilty of riot and third degree assault as part of a melee at a Bridgeville convenience store in Feb. 2012 involving the Sure Shots, the jury instead convicted Jeffrey Phillips of the lesser charges of disorderly conduct and offensive touchi
A jury on Friday convicted 38-year-old Otis Phillips and 23-year-old Jeffrey Phillips of first-degree murder in the death of 47-year-old tournament organizer Herman Curry. The two defendants, who are not related, also were convicted of manslaughter in the death of 16-year-old soccer player Alexander
