Abstract:

A device installed at the base of a vertical post used to stabilize the post in an upright vertical plumb condition and prevent the post from leaning. The device is comprised of a flat base () manufactured in two halves so that when placed together has a geometric shape opening () of the same size of the post the device is to be installed around. The device base contains multiple secondary penetrations () of the cross-sectional shape of the anchoring stakes () to be used. The device is installed at the post base () by placing the two halves around the post and joining together at along a common line (). The two halves are affixed together using a mending plate () and screws () or other type methods not shown. The anchoring stakes () are then inserted through the secondary penetrations () to affix the device to the ground.

Abstract:

An amphibious utility cart aids an outdoorsman in transporting equipment from home to a hunting site, and may further provide seating. The apparatus comprises framing to which a molded plastic platform is attached. The entire unit is designed to be rolled on land with wheels and to float on water with the buoyant seat platform. The platform, in a lounge chair design, is used as an equipment tote platform while going to a destination, and then as a chair for an outdoorsman or his dog when at the destination. The chair is designed for maximum floatation for water crossings and shallow-water seating. The two wheels provide the rear seating base and two retractable poles extend downward to provide frontal leg braces for a stable seating base. A handle is extended for the cart for either land or water transportation, and slides into the metal frame while in the chair mode.

Abstract:

An electronic control system for apparatus of the type used for imprinting or marking nameplates and other similar workpieces. The control system of the present invention has particular application for use with electrically operated marking machines of the type which utilize a keyboard and a marking member which may be displaced to imprint or mark characters or symbols carried by the marking member on metal or plastic nameplates or other similar workpieces. The control system may be operated in a number of modes selectable by the operator including a mode in which the selection of the character or symbol to be printed is followed immediately by marking or printing of that character on the work-piece, other operational modes in which a number of characters can be selected or inputted without printing, and entire lines of characters and multiple lines of characters can be imprinted without interruption, and modes in which the entire label can be pre-formatted on a display prior to marking or printing and the formatted display can be saved for later use.
