Abstract:

A rack for cooking barbecued ribs includes a plurality of curved legs which generally conform to the shape of the ribs. The legs are welded perpendicularly to a single longitudinal member. A handle attached to the longitudinal member makes it possible to manipulate the rack. The length of the curved legs decreases as the distance from the handle increases, thereby giving the rack a tapered form. Ribs barbecued on the rack cook quickly and evenly due to the improved distribution and concentration of heat.

Abstract:

A novel psychophysical visual test is proposed for testing a person for glaucoma, and based on the discovery that a frequency doubling phenomenon is produced by isoluminent color visual stimuli. More specifically, it is proposed to construct a visual stimulus for which alternating colors in a grating pattern is the only basis for producing the frequency doubling phenomenon. That is, the colors are of the same luminance or intensity level, i. e. , isoluminent, but each grating or pattern alternates from one color to another. Preferably, the colors are complementary color pairs, such as blue and yellow.

Abstract:

A present invention and process for preparing an herbal moist snuff product, including the essential herbal component citrus fiber. Citrus fiber, when shredded, boiled, and dried has the ability to absorb moisture components similar to genuine snuff tobacco, however, the dangerous components of genuine snuff tobacco, such as nicotine, cadmium, benzopyrene, etc., are nonexistent in the present invention. When absorbed by its liquid casing, the dried citrus fiber carries all the organoleptic qualities, without the harmful chemicals, of a genuine snuff tobacco.
