NASA slowly inflating new room at space station on 2nd try
Astronaut Jeffrey Williams opened a valve and introduced 22 seconds worth of air into the compartment, then several more seconds. Mission Control reported noticeable growth in the structure, the first of its kind for space fliers.
After analyzing the data for an hour, Mission Control told astronaut Jeffrey Williams to resume the test, the first of its kind in space. If all goes well, the pod will swell four times in volume and demonstrate a new way of living for astronauts.
