About:
My real estate career began in 2002 when I left the world of technology consulting to start a real estate investment company with my family. We specialized in renovation and resale of properties in Baltimore and Washington, DC; we also performed condominium conversions and purchased rental properties. I founded, and still own, City Life Property Management. I later expanded into residential real estate as a Realtor and thoroughly enjoy helping buyers and sellers. The flexibility of a real estate agent’s schedule also helps serve my clients’ needs effectively while caring for my family, including a dog and two children! When I have the chance, I also enjoy getting out on the water, running distance races, and skiing. And yes, I do live a double life as a power-boater and sailor, and love both cruising and racing! Community involvement is very important to me, which is why I have served as a board member of several non-profit organizations, including the Junior League of Baltimore and Greater Severna Park Mom’s Club. I remain a member and proud supporter of the Downtown Sailing Center (making sailing accessible to all members of our community) and Junior League of Annapolis (helping women and teens at risk in the Greater Annapolis area). In addition, I donate at least 1% of every commission check I receive to charity. MY MISSION: Professional Advisor: I have a strong work ethic, which includes being fully prepared and on-time to make the best use of your time. I am responsive, available, and well-organized. You will get updates from me on the local market and competing homes for sale throughout the entire home sale process. I will put my experience as an investor, residential real estate agent, and local resident to work for you! Tech-Savvy: I am constantly researching the technology and tools available to home buyers, so I can better understand how they are finding out about homes and what information they want (hint: pictures, pictures, and more pictures!). In addition to my own website and blog, I use (strictly) professional social media accounts to keep me abreast of the real estate market, new technology, and buyer sentiment. To serve you better and more quickly, I also employ cloud computing technologies such as Docusign (for electronic document signatures) and Dropbox (for online document storage). Collaborative Negotiator: My goal is to create a worry-free transaction for my clients. While detail-oriented, I am also easy to work with, preferring to approach negotiation as a collaboration that should have a positive outcome for both sides. I will continue to work all the way to closing, solving any problems or challenges that may arise, to ensure a smooth transaction. Long-Term Perspective: I hope to build a long-term relationship as a real estate consultant with each of my clients. This community is where my family and I live, work, and play. As a resident and businesswoman, I strive to both help our local real estate market thrive and maintain good business connections with all my current and former clients. As other Realtors do, I belong to the national, state and local board of realtors. The opportunities they provide for networking and continuing education allow me to better serve my clients. I have attended training in areas such as Relocation, Foreclosures, Renovation Financing, Smart Growth and Green Building. I have also earned certifications in Rentals & Leasing and Short Sales. I'm a designated e-Pro and Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) I am pleased to have been named to the Long & Foster Gold Team this year. However, I consider the highest honor to be a referral from a friend, family member or former client. I think of my achievements in terms of the buyers and sellers I have worked with, from Northwest Baltimore to the Chesapeake Bay waterfront – success for me is a helping a happy client make a smooth transition to a new home!
