Methods and compositions for treatment of cancer in a human patient comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of an Fc-polypeptide agonist of DR5 having high-affinity to FCGR3A. Methods of making the Fc-polypeptides are provided.
The present invention provides fusion proteins expressed by cancer cells, antibodies and other antigen-binding agents that specifically bind to the fusion proteins, and compositions and methods for using the antibodies and other antigen-binding agents to detect, characterize, and treat cancer.

Abstract:
The present invention includes apoptotic compositions and methods for inducing apoptosis of cancer cells independent of NK cells. An apoptotic composition comprises a cooperative combination of antibodies that specifically bind to human DR5, or a cooperative combination of an anti-DR5 antibody and TRAIL. Administration of therapeutically effective amounts of an apoptotic composition induces apoptosis of apoptosis sensitive cancer cells.
