* 10 years business to business sales experience * Selling both products and services * Becoming a product or service expert * Experienced in uncovering opportunities, investigating leads, qualifying, quoting and closing. * Working with all types of engineers, department heads, purchasing managers, maintenance department employees and manufacturers representatives to examine a need or problem and come up with a solution. * Hunting down hard to find products and expediting back orders * Bidding on government contracts * Focused on attaining purchase orders * Arranging and attending business breakfast, lunch or dinner meetings with key decision makers in top tier accounts as part of building strong,lasting relationships, putting a face with a name, and learning as much about the client as possible. * Working as a team player alongside field sales reps, inside sales reps, and manufacturers reps to reach a common goal * Highly skilled in strategic pricing, utilizing different sales techniques, and locking in business by selling high volume and scheduling shipments over a period of months * Preparing and presenting quotations to key decision makers within all types of companies such as Maintenance and Repair Operations, Research and Development Groups and Original Equipment Manufacturers. * Keen ability to relate to all types of personalities, and much of the time, clients formerly deemed as difficult according to fellow sales reps. * Doing everything to succeed including but not limited to: cold-calling, appointment setting, qualifying, problem solving, traveling, working Industrial Trade Shows, utilizing expense accounts analyzing sales reports, overcoming objections, identifying problems and creating an action plan.
