With one month to bring a concept to functional application, a team of three female Stevens students developed a simple, intuitive and smart strategic pricing tool that suited Cordis' dynamic (e.g. fast-pace and global) business environment.
As a team, we developed an iOS application framework designed to gather critical data in real-time and instantly price products based on competitive pricing strategies and platforms. In addition, we presented extra business functionalities for managing customer and contact information, receiving approval notifications, viewing product portfolios, creating forms, generating reports and maintaining notes for the on-the-go sales rep.
Our competitive mobile application idea won the competition and will ultimately serve as a starting framework for Cordis' Sales Operations Team to build upon.
Team members included Jennifer Trinh '13, Ruchika Sharma '14 and Vania Nettleford '14. First Place Winner in Elevator Pitch Olympics Stevens Institute of Technology AcceleroMetrix built a medical device for monitoring surgery patients under anesthesia and won the Elevator Pitch competition in the business plan category. The device, designed by Edan Golomb, Kyle Ripley, Derek Smith and Jen Trinh, helps inform physicians when it is safe to remove the breathing tube of a sedated patient.
