US Classification:

Abstract:
Standardized support for management of contextual relationships, which includes specification of the context hierarchy, association of relationships with a particular context, and derivation of transitive dependencies, is provided with a Context Manager service. The Context Manager provides a programmatic interface for defining contexts and the relationships therein. The Context Manager saves the relationship facts in one or more context stores, which are organized by contexts. The Context Manager interfaces with the Ontology Manager that processes queries on relationships with respect to a given set of contexts. The Context Manager provides a high-level abstraction for relationship management in a context. Developers of business solutions can then focus on the core business logic, without worrying about the details of storing and inferencing relationships.

A Web browser is augmented with collaborative features to support community aware browsing sessions. The augmentation provided includes a data mining plug-in for the browser to establish collaborative context based on Uniform Resource Locator (URL) meta data keywords, or mined topics, and a collaboration co-browser (explorer bar) which displays a collaboration space, called CollabSpace, corresponding to the document that is displayed in the main browser. With this augmented browser, a user can perform various collaboration functions from the collaboration explorer bar, including viewing the online status of members of the CollabSpace, communicate with members of the CollabSpace via electronic mail (e-mail), instant messaging or discussion threads, and register as a member of the CollabSpace. CollabSpaces can be established and associated with one or more Web documents, meta data keywords or topics.

US Classification:
370225, 370252
Abstract:
A method () and apparatus () are provided which automatically detects and locates network congestion and trouble in a network (). Event notification(s) are generated () which alert the network to congestion or problems. Network flow information () and previously determined topology mapping information () is processed to identify the congested link () and an offending host (causing the problem) (). Once identified, corrective action (or procedure) is automatically initiated and performed (). Alternatively, an administrator may manually initiate the corrective action. Corrective action may include blocking traffic to the offending host, modifying network parameters, or otherwise restricting operation of the host within the network.

Abstract:
Described are systems and methods for managing an electronic communication thread. A thread is identified between a first electronic device and a plurality of second electronic devices. A parameter is generated to stop watching communications generated by the second electronic devices related to the thread. At least one new communication from the second electronic devices is detected, the at least one new communication related to the thread. An action is performed in accordance with criteria established with respect to the thread in response to detecting the at least one new communication.

The tool receives a message and it locates in the message a string that was entered into a message text field of the message. The string is compared with a registered authentication string for the bona fide owner of the account. If the string in the message matches the registered authentication string, the string is removed from the message and the message is forwarded to the social networking service. If the string in the message does not match the registered authentication string, the message is blocked from being forwarded to the social networking service.
